Would it be better for me to play magic the gathering online or buy cards in paper form?
I live 30 miles from the closest place that has tournaments and events. If I did 4 trips a month that would cost $120 dollars in gas if I had my parents drive me there. That could be a extra $1200 in cards I could have spend in magic the gathering online.
I could ride my bicycle there 30 miles away but im fit for that yet. I dont have driving licence.
Why don't try and see if any of your friends play. If so, it would be cheaper on gas to get there and back. I live 25 miles away and my friend lives roughly 60 and he picks me up on the way. We usually get a group of us and pay the gas evenly. It's cheap and easier for all of us. But if you don't have anyone else that could drive or go with you. Playing online isn't a bad idea. You can even do a Pro Tour Qualifier online too. So if you don't have a ride other than your parents and none of your friends play, Online is the way to go.
