My printer wont print... Help?

I have an Epson Stylus CX4800. Today earlier it worked but it just randomly stopped printing. It is like the computer knows the printer is there. when I unplug it the computer makes that noise if something is unplugged. When I try to print my paper for school the computer says that it is printed out but it is not.. Also same thing with pictures... I got a new cartirdge 4 weeks ago. What could be wrong??? There is no error message or anything.
