Scrapbook clubs?

So I was thinking about it today, what is it they do at a scrap book club? Do they share ones they've made themselves or do they make scrapbooks together? ...Share ideas?

The "club" that I belong to meets every Tuesday evening at a local church. We scrapbook and chat for four hours. It is a fun group of individuals. We share ideas, ask for input, and envy each others tools and supplies of the scrapbooking trade. Several times a year area scrapbook sales consultants host 12 hour "crops" where large numbers of scrapbookers from our region gather. Also, there are weekend "retreats" where you can crop non-stop for three days.
I find that the weekly meeting is relaxing and fun. I spend time with a group of fun and interesting people who share a hobby with me. We all have a passion to preserve the memories of our family. When a new scrapbooker joins, she is usually overwhelmed and surprised by all the "stuff" that is available for this hobby. I recommend that you visit an event first, before you dive into buying scrapbook supplies. Most scrapbookers are happy to share ideas and techniques with new scrappers. We are very good enablers.
