Inexpensive vinyl cutter as hobby?

I want an inexpensive vinyl cutter that I can cut out letters & polka dots, etc. . I love these letters and polka dots that are on glasses, candles, tiles, etc This will be used just as a hobby so I don't want to put a lot of money into it. I thought about a cricut (sp) but didn't know if I could cut vinyl with it. Where do you get the sheets of vinly from too? Thanks for your input!

I own a Cricut and love it. I am a scrap booker and card maker. Provo Craft (who makes the Cricut) also sells the sheets of vinyl that you need. I buy my vinyl on eBay though as it is much less expensive. The original Cricut sells for about $99.00 if you find it on sale. Usually Joanne's, Michael's, or Hobby Lobby have it on sale.
