Anyone read any of those Carlos Casteneda books Don Juan?

Do you buy into any of it? I just flipped through a couple, but I'm not sold at all.

I did. Back in early '90s. Half-blind copies, going around. Those were days when I were into yoga (physical and spiritual), various esoteric teachings, magic...
Did I believe it? Partly, at least. After all, if you don't know something personally, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist or isn't true. Even if I always were a bit of sceptic.
But since in the books there was a lot of talk about drugs, it was definitely not a path for me.
Later I got christened and moved away from Castaneda's stories. They didn't seem attractive in the least anymore.
Even later, when I became interested in Wicca and "practical" magic, I felt strong rejection towards those stories. And no, I don't believe them anymore.
Nowadays, as a Muslim, I simply accept for the fact that while *some* magic is real, it is not a right thing to be involved in.
