What are embossing folders? Can I use them without a machine?
They look like what I want, but I'm shopping online. Could someone explain what they look like? Can I use them without some sort of machine? Would this be known as "dry embossing?" Thanks.
I have embossing folders with my sizzix machine. These are plastic folders with raised lettering or a design that fits into a metal plate. You put paper in between and squeeze it under or through a machine. it is possible to take the metal piece out and I could use it with an embossing tool placing the paper over it.
