Armour Etching Cream?
I bought some Armour Etching Cream today to do some etching on some wine glasses and a wine bottle. I decided to test it first and I'm fairly sure I'm following the directions, but its turning out really light, like you can barely even see the etching, am I doing something wrong? I tried leaving it on longer than it says, the most I've left it on for is about 5 minutes.
I've had that happen before too. Try to make sure the area to be etched is THICKLY covered with the cream & leave it on for 5 mins. That usually seems to work for me. It seems to be the thickess that matters.
