I got hired as a hostess at a busy tourist restaurant, any tips?

This will be my first time hostessing, and unfortunatly the manager told me i would be trained, and now that isnt happening. I start tomorrow night, (which i was called at 930 last night about) and it will be busy. I have no idea where simple things i should of been trained on are , ie.. the bathroom, booster seats, silverware, the waitresses table set ups etc.

Hostesses greet people at the door and give them menus. Just smile and thank them for coming, seat them to a table, hand them menus and tell them that their server, "Tereasa" will be with them shortly. You get the idea. You will normally have a seating map with numbers for the tables. When you seat someone, you check off that table on your map. You organize the seating arrangements for the waitresses and you help them run food and clean and set their tables. You are basically to help servers.
