Tattoo artists or people who have gotten one...price question?
I have been wanting to get a certain tattoo across my mid-to-slightly lower-back for quite some time. It is lyrical content however, and I heard artists charge by the letter? Do any charge by the sentence perhaps? Im going for the following lines from a song by Slipknot:
"All that I wanted were things I had before.
All that I needed I never needed more.
All of my questions, are answers to my sins."
Its a very personal song for me, and Id like to have it done without blowing my paychecks out of the water, but I know It wont be cheap. A cheap tattoo isnt good, and a good one isnt cheap etc..
If I had it written in courier new font, not bold, and half an inch or so high in the anatomical area of choice, what range should I be expecting? Thanks alot for any help
Pieces done all in one session are priced based on an approximation of the amount of time it will take to do the tattoo, overall size, level of difficulty, and placement of the tattoo
