What is lignin, and how does it effect the art made on paper or canvas with lignin in it?
The companies which make paper advertise their paper has no lignin in it, so now I'm curious about what it is and what it does to the paper and the art.
Lignin is found in plants. Look it up in Wikipedia. It is not something to worry about in art materials. That whole game about archival materials is modern and amateur. No real artist is ever limited by poor quality materials. Artists adapt what is at hand.
