What is the best photo memory book to buy?
I would like to make my sister a memory book, with photos of us up to now with descriptions of them. I have been looking online, but can not find a type of book that fits what I would like.
I am interested in having a theme to it, probably 15-20 pages long. I'd rather have the pages double sided. What brands have you used, and are you happy with them?
I make scrapbook pages online at CropMom at http://www.cropmom.com using my photos and CropMom's graphics.
Then, I purchase the layouts as print-quality JPEG files and have them printed usually at Snapfish at http://www.snapfish.com or Shutterfly at http://www.shutterfly.com. They are my favorites.
Here are my reviews:
Snapfish: I like the 8" by 8" hardcover, black linen book with the glossy dust jacket.
Shutterfly: I like the 8" by 8" padded cover book using my own digital scrapbook layout as the the cover. I think it's a little difficult, though, to fit the layout on the cover. I also like the 8" by 8" softcover book and didn't have any problems fitting the layout on that cover. I am not fond of the hard cover book using my layout on the cover because it looks a little too much like a child's book.
PhotoWorks; I've purchased the 7" by 7" hardcover photo book with the glossy dust jacket, and it's cute, good quality, but a little small for my tastes.
MyPublisher: I've got both the hardcover linen books and the small softcover books. I like the quality. I wish they had a square book.
By the way, all have a minimum of 20 pages. I hope this helps.
