Postbound scrapbook trouble... please help!!?

This may sound stupid but I have never scrapbooked before. My boyfriend took my post-bound scrapbook apart so I could add and move some pages. He however took the whole thing apart and now Im having trouble getting it back together. Any help would be appreciated!

There's some variation in albums, but the description below will work for most of what I've seen out there. First make sure you have all the parts: 2 covers, your pages, possibly some cardboard spacers, a strip piece that matches the cover and covers the edge of the pages so that they don't show when the book is viewed from the outside edge (optional - it will have holes in both long sides), and 2-3 posts. The posts screw apart, so chances are, if it's a 3-post album, you have at least 6 post parts: 3 male, with a short screw, 3 female with a long hollow post that the male end screws into. If your album used post extenders (posts with no screw end, but a male and female end), then make sure the extenders are attached to the female ends before you start, so that you start out with the longest parts first.

Start with one cover face down, and insert the long female posts through the holes (the screw head should be inside the fold in the album cover). Put your strip piece onto the posts, face down. Put one cardboard spacer onto the posts, then your pages, then another cardboard spacer. Put on the second side of the strip piece, followed by the second album cover. Screw the male ends of the posts into the female ends (you may have to hold the female ends stationary while you turn the male ends so that the posts actually screw together), hide the screw heads with the fold in the album cover and you're done.

One note about those cardboard spacers -- they're not mandatory, but handy if you make thick, dimensional scrapbook pages. When you put your final scrapbook together, use them in front of your thicker pages so that the book closes more neatly. Most albums come with a couple, but I make my own using strips of acid-free chipboard and a hole punch.
