Cervicitis and Endometriosis help?
I had my first appointment with a consultant today following almost a year of really unpleasant gyn symptoms.
I did some research myself and even my GP suggested that she thought I possibly have Endometriosis. I've had scans, swabs, internal exams, smear tests and all have been negative, so I thought the next step would be laparoscopy.
Anyway, at my appointment today, I had more swabs taken to test for rare bacteria's such as Mycoplasma. The consultant stated that if they came back negative then I would have a diagnostic laparoscopy, but he said that there was a degree of Cervicitis noticeable on internal examination but he still thought that Endometriosis was a possibility.
My question is (sorry for taking so long!) is it common for patients with Endometriosis to have a degree of cervicitis also?? I know the symptoms of these disorders are quite similar though....
