Help, fashionistas! How to wear a black midlength bell-shaped dress (no waist) with 3/4 bubble-ish sleeves?
Bell-shaped is... well, like a bell, think tower bell.
Should I wear hosiery/legging? What kind of?
If I want to accentuate a waistline and add a belt, should it be on the waist or on the hip? And should it be a solid one (like leather) or flexible one (like chain belt with charms hanging from it, etc)?
What about shoes? Boots, like ankle booties, slide, or strappy sandals? (Btw, I prefer heels to flats)
For formal and casual, what kind of bags should I carry? Big, small, tote, clutch? Plain one or one with ribbons, etc?
And finally, how should I accessorize? Earrings, brooche, scarves, anything?
Sorry, lots of Qs I know, I hope you'd answer at least a few of them, if not all.
Thanks a bunch, people!
About the length: the dress falls just a little above the knees, so if belted, it would land somewhere mid thigh.
Do you guys think a pair of knee boots would look good?
there's a fwe hot ways to wear this dress. since there is not much shape to it, you want to play up your figure and accessorize well.
you can try throwing a belt around the waist, a skinny or thick patent belt or even a low slung leather belt. simple large hoop earrings and leather boots would be a rockin' look.
to go a little softer, a chain/charm belt, ballet flats and chandelier earrings would look very pretty.
to avoid shaping the dress, throw a summer scarf around your neck and some fun leather and patent sandals.
to make it more sporty, use a black sash, bright sneakers and little jewelry.
for a formal look at high wedges or heels in patent, bright colors or metallics. enamel bangle bracelets, big earrings and layered necklaces. carry a clutch.
for every day, a leather tote; large to medium size.
hope this helps! message me for more suggestions if you want.
