I want to look chic and well put together but I am so uncreative at putting cloths together! Any tips?

i dont want to just simply coppy styles i want to learn to make styles of my own
Carrie from Sex and the City is one of my inspirations. I want my outfits to look expensive, sexy, and classy (without spending all the money) but I don't know what matches with what. I don't know what patters and textures match together. Does anyone have any tips for me??

Here are some outfits I like...

Well, remember key things:

Neutral colors-Olive green, tan, brown, black, white, navy blue, gray, and sometimes red, go with EVERYTHING. If it is a shirt or skirt or pants in a neutral color, you can wear anything, it won't clash most of the time.

If you throw on a blazer or nice jacket, it instantly makes your outfit appear more "posh" or sophisticated. A blazer is a good thing to invest in.

You can mix patterns/prints, but keep colors similar. For example, you can wear a floral skirt with pink in it with a striped shirt that has a similar shade in it.

Looser textures work with tighter ones, it actually looks good together. For example, a pencil skirt with a blouson top tucked in would look pretty classy for work or somewhere important.

Basics-these are things to invest in. A good pair of jeans, a good blazer, a nice cardigan, a great sweater, a great pair of pants, a trench coat, a great bag, a little black dress, another day-to-night dress, and both flats and a pair of heels. Spend extra money if you need to get these tailored, because these things are in no matter what the season. Tops usually change around, so you don't need to go crazy spending for those.

Accessories- To avoid o'Ding on these, follow this tip: One statement piece, and then less attention grabbing pieces. Or you can layer necklaces for a cool, boho-ish vibe.

Tailoring-If something is too big, or just doesn't fit right, get it tailored. It will look THAT much better on you, especially for the basics, you should get those tailored if necessary.

Hope I helped :-)
