So You Don’t Scrapbooker? If You Are Adopting, Think Twice!

I swore that I would not in any way scrapbook. I saw some outstanding scrapbooks that friends had made, but the idea of cutting up my photographs and then spending tons of money on little stickers called  “embellishments?” To put it frankly, I wasn't a cutsie, sticker kind of gal and I didn't intend to convert.

Then we adopted a baby boy. I couldn't locate a baby book or an adoption book that had my son's story and I kept hearing the phrase"life books." But that wasn't what I had in mind. Every child's journey is precious

So I went down to the local craft store and started picking out stickers, trying to avoid those with clip art of storks and pregnancy quotations. Finally, I was able to creating my own scrapbook overlays with transparencies so I could have really great looking looking pages about the adoption journey from the homestudy  to adoption day celebrations. I held my breath as I cut my photos.

Now I can't even believe that I nearly passed up the idea of scrapbooking my babe's story and having dismissed out on this memories of his infanthood.

Every child has a unique story about his or her birth, but for the adopted child, the story is an enormously unique story that needs to be recorded in their own Adoption Scrapbook. Now any mom (even the non-crafty moms) can efficiently make that special adoption baby book album.

Lisa Copen hopes her experience to find to an Adoption Scrapbook Album won't be yours! She has created over 100 transparency overlays so adoptive mothers can easily put together a personalized adoption scrap book for their family and child. It also makes a great present for one who is adopting!
