Why does john adams deserve a stamp?

John Adams was the first Vice President and the second President of the United States. He played vital roles in forming our great country, as he seconded the Declaration of Independence. He like many others opposed the Stamp Act. If it were not for President John Adams, we would not have had the French’s help in the Revolution.

While I agree that he deserves a stamp (at the very least -- in fact, he deserves a great deal more), I have to disagree with one of your points. Adams had nothing to do with the treaty with the French. That was wholly negotiated with the French by Benjamin Franklin before Adams arrived. And in fact, Adams was disliked in the French court.
1.But he DID negotiate necessary loans with the Dutch that enabled America to survive.
2.He was also America's first Ambassador to Great Britain.
3. And he kept America out of the European wars during his term as president,
4. And he also refurbished the United States navy, giving it (among others) the 44 gun Frigate USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) which is still the oldest commissioned ship in the US Navy.
5. Helped negotiate the Treaty of Paris which ended the War of Independence, and guaranteed American independence
